Investigating coordinates of points

Activity - Coordinates of points
1. Find the reflections of A, B, C, D, E, F along the y-axis. Use the [.A] or the reflect command.
2. Hover the cursor along the points A to E. These pairs of numbers are called the coordinates of the point. Any idea where these coordinates were based? How do the coordinates of points compare to the coordinates of their reflections.
3. Reflect the points along the x-axis and observe their coordinates. What do you notice?
4. The x and y axes divide the plane into four quadrants. What can you generalize about the coordinates of the points in each of the quadrants? Verify by typing coordinates P=[x,y] in the input bar.
5. What can you generalize about the coordinates of the points in each of the quandrants?
